Yesterday marked my first real social outing in weeks, which felt momentous enough. An impromptu lunch at Brentwood Country Mart with a dear friend, an LA-based jewelry designer whose collections sell out in a blink and who is almost always wearing the thing everyone else is still trying to track down. I spotted her by a pair of new shoes, above, abandoned outside a dressing room. Of course, they’re almost sold out everywhere but and —understandably! Moments later she pulled back the curtain wearing a pair of washed silk pants and informed me that with its new spring collection James Perse has quietly nailed that CBK’s minimalist ‘90s look meets The Row. The pants actually looked like . Maybe even better. After lunch, I limped home, more maximalist than minimalist (see below in , and ) jumped online and landed on 's latest lineup, specifically this and this , that somehow straddles the in-between with a price point that works for all. I’ll be digging up more this weekend, no doubt.
