get it before it's gone
get it before it's gone
Friday, October 3
Back in my Lucky magazine days, I was part of the editorial brainstorms where we’d all weigh in on the next big thing—whether it was a bag shape, a boot height, or a skirt silhouette. The end result always felt like insider intel whispered straight from the fashion front lines. Fast-forward to now: Paris runways and the surrounding street style scene are essentially serving up the same crystal ball. My is essentially a preview of what I’ll be coveting/wearing six months from now: Color-blocking primary colors (, , ), 80s' Capezio-like shoes (from to ), drapey capes (, above, and this under-$100 )—it’s like watching my fashion future unfold in real time. The fun part? We all get to shop the “Trust Us” moment now, before it goes fully mainstream. Which means staking claim to those harbingers-of-what’s-next pieces—before they’re everywhere (or gone!), starting with statement skirts (s, , , and ), stand-alone anoraks (, and , or just a pretending to be one), tie-blouses ( and), pink anything (, , ), and keyhole silhouettes ( and ) a la and Prada. Happy Friday!
