Yesterday, I ventured out for my first proper fashion lunch in three weeks, hosted by London-based jewelry designer , whose vintage pocket watch-inspired chains and pendants look as though they were discovered in a Mayfair townhouse and passed down for generations. The jewelry was lovely. The guests equally sparkly: it seemed to me everyone else's skin has already entered its summer era. Glowy. Post-Med or 24/7 Erewhon-induced. Naturally, I spent the latter half of lunch conducting an informal investigation into how and when. The most frequently cited accomplices? and . Done and done. I wore head-to-toe newness ( and ), consumed two pavlovas for dessert—no regrets—and admired everyone else's embrace of color. As fate would have it, unveiled her Resort 2027 collection this morning, serving up more of the same colors: acid green with brown, lavender with earthy neutrals, and plenty of plaids. I'd like to catch up to everyone else and start integrating a little of that vibrant energy immediately (eyeing —THE color of the summer—, , , and on sale). Plus, these beaded (and refreshingly priced) ! It’s like the wardrobe equivalent of adding a second pavlova when one was probably enough!
