holiday dressing
Wednesday, December 21
These hazy-holiday days has me wearing this roomy (on sale!) Valentino blouse non-stop, both at home with jeans and out and about with black trousers, along with my signature jumble of Adina Retyer necklaces that I never, ever take off. Now through Friday, use my code MR25 to save 25% off on last minute, forever-chic (self) gifts! You're welcome!

I came across this cool looking suitcase by Floyd, thanks to a friend who has flown the mileage equivalent of 13 laps around the globe over the last 12 months and swears by it. This German-based luggage is all the rage in Europe, and it's no wonder: it boasts a rad retro-meets-futuristic skateboard vibe and Teutonic practicality (lightweight, durable, organization-friendly interior compartments with a separate laptop holder). Also fact: Their polyurethane changeable wheels have been tested on halfpipes around the world. I'll be taking the white carry-on, above, on future adventures this winter, stuffing it full with recently-acquired pieces by Toteme, below, Good American (for $180!), Mother Denim and La Double J.
tripping out
Friday, December 16
"If anyone is going holiday shopping for me, I wear a 2-week trip to Italy," said a Veronica Beard post on Instagram. I echo that statement but would sub in St. Barth's--and throw in the Significant Other dress, above, along with this cutest-ever Karla Colletto one-piece, this chic Mie cover-up, this one-shoulder Sundress, and, naturally some perfectly-frivolous plumage, below.

Grey winter days aren't all that bad. Proof here! I'd like to follow suit with this extra large, wrap-me-up scarf by Acne Studios.

gooping
Wednesday, December 14
My twin sister and I turned up the glitz for Gwyneth Paltrow's holiday party last night. Sequins were in order for the mounds of caviar and glasses of bubbles served! (Her resplendently elegant home also warranted the sparkle!) Coco stole my old gold Asos dress (available in this color now) and threw a Saks Potts sweater over it, while I wore a years-old embellished Zara over a current season Goop dress! Since a little more sparkle never hurts, I'm now eyeing this and this!
just for kicks
Wednesday, December 14
If my kids had their way, there would be at least a dozen new sneakers under the Christmas tree. If I had my way, I'd run around shopping for them in these newly trendy kicks by New Balance. Evidently, all the cool London girls are wearing them (pictured!). See other colors here.

Somehow holiday shopping for my nearest and dearest inevitably results in shopping for yours truly, and, truth be told, I am not mad about it. While I was snapping up a few things for my niece at Anthropologie, I came across the above Paco Rabanne-inspired skirt, the pearl-embellished button-down, below, and the sequin jumpsuit. Yes, I'll take them all, thank you!

favor me

When a friend of mine sold her company for a kajillion dollars a few months ago, I told her to buy this pretty yet pricey Carolina Herrera dress to celebrate in--and so I could borrow it, too! A few days ago, she repaid me the favor by alerting me to the fact that it's now on sale at 40% off--along with tons of Johanna Ortiz (above), and this NYE-perfect Brandon Maxwell, this Zimmermann staple, and this statement Paco Rabanne.
