It's been a while since I last thought about wearing a bib necklace. A search on Le Catch reveals the exact date was January 2, 2013, when I wrote this post. However, from the current look of things in Paris, statement necklaces will now be top of mind--and front and center. Chloe's show yesterday ushered out bold and bohemian-spirited statement necklaces, brandished over coats or balanced by delicate lace. Tagwalk already tallied up the data on today's Chloe's Spring 2025 runway show in Paris, and the results are in! The high concentration of signature lace and ruffles, along with voluminous silhouettes come as no surprise, but there were some delightful unexpected details that I can't wait to incorporate into my wardrobe. As in: I won't be waiting till next spring to wear all kinds of gold shell baubles, like this Kenneth Jay Lane, this Aureum, and this Ariel Gordon, along with pastels aplenty (yes and yes). And I will sling on a gold shell bag from Simkhai or this one sourced on Amazon (also tons of vintage options on Etsy). P.S. Better start making room for those jelly ankle-strap kitten-heel sandals and their copycats!
