tol time

If you're wondering what to pack for Ibiza this summer, maybe don't reference Jade Jagger and Kate Moss in their bohemian, barely-there cocktail dresses dancing barefoot on the sand. Look instead to Linda Tol, who's currently on island and up-to-date dressed in easygoing, pared-down pieces. In rotation: flared denim shorts by Source Unknown, black leather (that go with everything!) TKEES sandals, a breezy black maxi by Faithfull the Brand, Loewe's "I Told Ya" t-shirt (same idea but less pricey), a pleated A-line Cos dress, an embroidered and bow-embellished Ganni midi, Le Monde Beryl Mary Jane flats, and a yellow bubble mini skirt, now on sale at Zara. What's wonderful is that all these pieces would work swimmingly off island, too. Inspired by her easygoing vibe, I'd like stay-at-home vacay in this satin mini, this strapless Proenza Schouler, and this Farm Rio wrap skirt.
pay attention

I did that annoying thing at lunch yesterday with a friend: I looked past our table, over my friend's shoulder, tuned out what she was saying and focused on someone else's outfit instead. She rightfully called me out, but then I pointed to what stole my attention and all was forgiven, because she also started staring and we both decided we needed the same summery look, pronto. Coincidentally, this same outfit--the Toteme set, above (also here)-- appeared on my Instagram this morning, which may just cause you to double-take as well! Other outfits stealing my attention today include the following: the Marie Lichtenberg necklaces with the bandana-print Call It By Your Name blouse, the red and white woven Nagehdi tote, the drop-waist St. Agni dress and embellished raffia Alaia bag, the striped Miu Miu bag and tie puff-sleeve Ganni top, the paisley Zimmermann blouse and the Larissa Mills x NA-KD lace-trimmed set. Happy Weekend!
afternoon delight
Thursday, June 27
All it takes is one long lazy afternoon to make me feel like another person: someone who dozes off on a chaise lounge, eats carbs shamelessly, and changes outfits over and over again just for the fun of it. J.Crew's summer line-up is going to enable this alter ego, specifically with the see-through crochet, above, the ruched cut-out one-piece, the flowy print maxi skirt, and the red-hot fringed dress, all below.

Denim shorts look different this summer. They're not the frayed cut-offs of yore, nor confined to Levi's washes. New York City-based stylist Coco Schiffer, pictured here, finesses the freshest must-have silhouettes--the flared short and the low-waisted mini--and styles them to perfection. Options to consider come from Frame, AGOLDE, Citizens of Humanity, and Re/Done. A belt like the Aureum (pictured below) or even a Rosie Assoulin converted necklace-turned-belt (above) dramatizes the denim, along with standout accessories like twisted handle top Simkhai bag, and square toe Sam Edelman flats. I also love her Posse vest, above and the nipped-in blouse, below.

Not only do the Moosgaard twins make summer-in-the-city dressing look simple but twice as nice! The duo's strategy boils down to sure-fire warm-weather staples, all throughly nailed by Alex Mill in these snaps. There are the ribbed go-with-everything tank tops, above (back-in-stock) jeans, slinky, day-to-night knit dresses, below, linen midi skirts and matching tops, and oversized linen button-down shirts. I can attest: it really is a cinch. Proof here!

pre-game paris
Tuesday, June 25
One billion people are expected to tune into the Olympics starting July 26 in Paris, but, from my perspective, the games have already begun: Fall/Winter 2025 Haute Couture shows, a soaring heat wave, navigating a blocked-off Place de Concorde, the un-swimmable-Seine cliffhanger, and, oh, the Tour de France kicks off tomorrow. The city's constituents (contestants?), however, are taking it all in signature je-ne-sais-quoi fashion. Take, for example, the intrepid pedestrian, above, in a compelling, go-with-the-flow Khaite dress and ready-to-run mesh loafers, plus maneuverable strapless dresses (grey Massimo Dutti, below), linen vests, heat-proof tank tops, denim midi skirts, and, of course, ready-to-play rugby shirts, like this old-school Ralph Lauren and this on-sale Guest in Residence. On your mark, get set, go!
summer highs
Monday, June 24
This past weekend flowed like one long summer day spent by the pool. Except there was no pool. Just an unputdownable (and very bawdy!) book called All Fours, multiple bikinis (by It's Now Cool, Oseree, below, and De Rococo), and a ginormous platter of lobster that my Nantucket-bred friend cracked open her with teeth! There was also new-dress sporting in Malibu--my knit color-block Maria McManus, above! And sale-shopping for more summer-ready staples here!
